Happy Easter

Easter is on its way and it's time to celebrate!  LDRS Designer Janiel Corley has created the sweetest of Easter cards just for this special occasion.  She has used several of our gorgeous products in such a unique way, including one of our gorgeous Cutie Pie stamps titled What a Sweetheart .  She even put together a little step-by-step so you too can follow along and make your own beautiful creation.  Make sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for the step-by-step and materials list.

Stamps: What a Sweetheart Cutie Pie 2012
Warm and Fuzzy Sentiments - All Occasions

Patterned paper LittleDarling Summer Sorbet 2013

Bazzill Basics Light pink, Dark Pink, sage green, peach, white
Ink pads: Ranger Distress Ink Broken China, Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick
Memento Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers for coloring image on X-Press It Blending Card
Martha Stewart Butterfly punch
Pearls: green, pink (Kaiser Scrapbooks)
Candy Dots Maker unknown
Paper Flowers
Ruffled Lace trim, flower trim, 1 ¼ wide sheer flower ribbon
White paper doily
Star Dust Stickles
3M tape glue
3 in 1 Beacon glue
Foam tape 3M


1. Form a 6x6 inch top-fold card from light pink cardstock.

2. Cut a slightly smaller square piece from dark pink and another slightly smaller out of the green then another slightly smaller from you green patterned paper. Refer to card photo. Layer and adhere squares together. 

3. Attach doily to back of dark pink cardstock referring to photo. 

4. From dark pink cardstock cut 4 inches by 2 inches, pink pattern paper cut slightly smaller. Check photo for placement. 

5. From green cardstock cut piece 3 7/8 inches by 4 5/8 inches, cut peach cardstock slightly smaller, then cut the dotted patterned paper slightly smaller than the peach. Layer all three adhere together. Check photo for placement.  

6. Stamp Happy Easter on white card stock. Trim it just at each side by 2 inches long. Cut peach cardstock slightly larger. Check photo for placement. 

7. Wrap peach lace trim and flower trim onto card using 3 in 1 glue. 

8. Stamp image, color then use Spellbinder Standard Circle S4-114 and Scalloped circle S4-124 to cut around image. Use foam tape to attach image to card.  

9. Make and attach sheer bow to card add the paper flowers using 3 in 1 glue. 

10. Add pearls to center of butterflies and add stickles. Let dry. Add green pearls, candy dots and pink pearls referring to photo. Add butterflies using 3 in 1 glue.

NOTE:  Image in this project has been done as paper tole. Paper tole is a paper craft and hobby which involves cutting, shaping, sculpturing and gluing cutouts obtained from identical images. Building the image up using silicone to create a 3 dimensional picture.
